WHO WE ARE
History of The Cohen Home
Originally founded in 1979 by the National Council of Jewish Women, The Cohen Home maintains our original commitment of providing a nurturing home-like environment that promotes family, community and Jewish values. Formerly The Louis Kahn Group Home in the Morningside area of Atlanta, the community relocated to Johns Creek in 2001. The current building was constructed and furnished through the generosity of the Philip, Kasper and Helen P. Cohen family and renamed The Cohen Home in their memory.
In 2009 The Cohen Home merged with The William Breman Jewish Home and is the only assisted living community supported by the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
The William Breman Jewish Home
The Cohen Home is a Jewish Home Life Community owned and managed by The William Breman Jewish Home, a multi-faceted, non-profit organization that has been serving the elderly and disabled in our community since 1951. Guided by the biblical commandment to “Honor thy father and thy mother,” The Home and all Jewish Home Life Communities help older adults live fulfilling, active lives even as their care requirements change.
